Everyone knows that when a celebrity doesn't want to talk about his or her "private life" it means they are gay. Some just have to go a step further - like Aiken did - and completely desexualize themselves.

Slash refers to porn stories about the same sex people. At first, they were about the fictional characters, and stories were marked Kirk/Spock, or Luke/Han, so that's how the name originated. Then real-person slash appeared, with stories about the members of boy bands or the real actors instead of just their characters.

As for Clay, the very first story about him going on gay sites was posted by Billy Masters, who later admitted to making it up. Interestingly enough, it had a picture of headless body that Billy claimed to be Clay's. Sounds familiar?

And lastly, abut the sexless comment to Ariel Levy. The only people who could possibly take that conversation seriously are also the ones who think that his Sexy Back performance from last year was real, and not a parody, even after they watch that entire medley in context. In other words, people who are utterly devoid of the sense of humor.

He was saying that he was not going to discuss his private life. Apparently, Ms. Levy did not get the memo that he was there to promote Spamalot.

Acknowledging you are gay isn't talking about your private life. Acknowledging who you are screwing is.
