Tonight Ms. Lansbury appeared at the ill-titled Paley Media Center to be honored for her work in television.
Despite an inept interview by the moderator, Ms. L. shone as a 'character actress' who is proud of her career and would love one more great movie role.
Hollywood owes her. Clips from TV special perfs, the inevitable "Murder, She Wrote" segments, and the vivacious perf on the 1968 Oscars doing "Thoroughly Modern Millie."
