She made an appearance on Good Morning America a few years ago, and it became clear that the old anti-gay warrior hadn't even heard of Matthew Shepard's murder. Maybe she's too clueless even for the Republicans to use as a spokeswoman?

Later in a interview with Ladies Home Journals she says that she regrets her behavior and her views back then and says she has more of a live and let live attitude now.

Doesn't undo all the damage she did but at least it shows that people are capable of change.

Granted, I would never do that to another human being but I'm glad somebody did. She said some pretty vicious things during that time.
