Sooooooo haunting.
I finally saw the movie last night.
I am/was horrified.
How lastingly haunting!
GAH!
She is brilliant.
Absolutely brilliant.

Perfection.
I had rather a bad time eating at Planet Hollywood once because I was sitting directly beneath Kathy Bates' dress from the movie.
So one could say that you couldn't eat because you were staring up Kathy Bates' dress?

She's my role model...
(Somewhere a dog howls in the distance, there is a clap of thunder, and Patrick Wilson feels a cold chill run down his spine.)
Just kidding everyone...
It was Hugh Jackman's spine.

She looks like my mother. seriously. when they make the movie of my life, she'll be playing mom
That was an absolutely - yes, perfect - performance.
AND EWWWWW. Ma, have you seen Misery?
That would haunt me every time i looked at my mom.
gross.

A dirty birdy performance.
Nuggs, I can't believe it took you so long to see it, but I'm glad you loved it, you dirty birdy.
Interestingly, none of the Oscar pundits, if I recall, thought Kathy would win, they ALL picked Joanne Woodward in Mr & Mrs Bridges as the likely winner. Except for me. I predicted Kathy would win and I cheered when she did.
We're her #1 fans.
Oh don't get me started. I can quote whole parts of this movie off the top of my head.
OK Mister Man!
He didn't get out of the C*CK-A-DOODIE CAR!
This isn't what happened last week. Have you all got amnesia? HE DIDN'T GET OUT OF THE COCKADOODIE CAR!
Great movie. She scared the bejesus out of me!!!!!!! But, she is great in everything.
She made my pusle hectic.
Come to think of it, any woman who loves Liberace and "that dago" who painted the ceiling in the Sistine Chapel can't be that bad.
and what would a BWW thread be without ME tooting my own horn...
did ANY of you happen to notice who scored MISERY? did ANYONE take the time to notice just WHO wrote the music to accompany her little hissy fits, or who composed all those jittery string passages to encourage Paul to race back into his room in his wheelchair, or that lovely melody that underscores the big fight when Paul clobbers her with a pig...huh? HUH? HUH???
just asking...

Yep. Misery is listed as number 48.
And, check out the trivia/bio. I had no idea you were the pianist for the Sweeney Sisters on SNL. They were hilarious!

As already stated, she was great in Misery, but I also loved her in About Schmidt.
Oh my God, Marc, I'm sorry I never noticed that. It's an amazing score. *applause and many regrets for being ignorant*
God, those strings creeped the s*it out of me.

I wrote that score in the front room of a small house at the end of a raod that we rented in L.A....at night, people walking their dogs would pass by and hear screaming from my window "YOU KILLED HER!!!" or "CHOKE ON IT, YOU SICK, TWISTED F**K"!!!"
they always looked at me funny after that
