Just Another Liberal who says one thing and does another...
He is public transportation’s loudest cheerleader, boasting that he takes the subway “virtually every day.” He has told residents who complain about overcrowded trains to “get real” and he constantly encourages New Yorkers to follow his environmentally friendly example.
But Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg’s commute is not your average straphanger’s ride.
On mornings that he takes the subway from home, Mr. Bloomberg is picked up at his Upper East Side town house by a pair of king-size Chevrolet Suburbans. The mayor is driven 22 blocks to the subway station at 59th Street and Lexington Avenue, where he can board an express train to City Hall. His drivers zip past his neighborhood station, a local subway stop a five-minute walk away.
That means Mr. Bloomberg — whose much-discussed subway rides have become an indelible component of his public image — spends a quarter of his ostensibly subterranean commute in an S.U.V.

How do you think these up?
And?
You've just agreed he does ride a subway to work.
Can this get any more boring?
I thought we would ALL agree that Bloomberg is a total phony!
HDT. Since you've asked why you seem to generate hostility on the board, I'll point out this quote you just posted
"Just Another Liberal who says one thing and does another... "
Do you not see that as inciting?

Seriously. You really have to do a fierce moral inventory, HD.
Or how about:
ONCE A LYING LIBERAL/ALWAYS A LYING LIBERAL
Nothing baiting about that is there?

I don't care if he's a hypocrite. He's very attractive in a certain way and that's all that matters.
I'll consider everything said in this thread that is directed toward me.
Now, I see liberal posters, posting against conservatives in the exact same style. Does anyone see that, or agree with me about it?
Ehhhh why pay attention to THAT article in the "treason times".
Oh wait... it fits into HDT's black and white world, so THAT article from The New York Times is important. I'll bet within 24 hours he posts something and calls the same paper the treason times.
Any takers?

The Times is forever the Treason Times! It doesn't mean that I am required to ignore it.

Dude, I don't care how conservative you are. I've lived in NH, which has its reactionaries and its "Live Free or Die" and all that.
Just don't be boring and claim a subway ride is something less than a subway ride.
And as for Bloomberg, I think he's done a terrific job as mayor and won over a lot of skeptics, too. The man has been incredibly generous to the theatre community, giving many big donations to struggling theatres and artists and listed only as "anonymous" in doing it.

You poor thing, you've lived in New Hampshire. That explains a lot.
But, read the whole article. Why doesn't Bloomberg ride the subway for the entire ride, rather than get the SUV's out at all?
Don't you guys see the liberal posters use the same exact style as me in taking the conservatives to task?

You'd fit right in there, Namo. Don't forget about the new gay bishop.
When was the last time Bush rode public transportation?
Bloomberg is NOT an environmentalist.

I don't recall ever hearing about Bush riding public transportation.
My guess is Bloomberg does it that way because it's faster than walking to the subway and if you're taking a motor vehicle you may as well go the extra blocks to the express stop to also save a second subway wait.

"Why doesn't Bloomberg ride the subway for the entire ride, rather than get the SUV's out at all?"
Probably for the same reason that almost all public officials need protection these days, especially those in the national spotlight. At least he's making some sort of effort - as opposed to some national officials who have now been reduced to only appearing on military installations, or at very carefully orchestrated public outings to which the general public is not invited.
What I REALLY love is how the care for the environment - the upkeep of the only planet we have, that we ALL call home - has been declared a bad thing. Don't conservatives care about where they live? Don't conservatives want what is best and healthy for us all?

It used to be called "conservation."
And involved setting aside big blocks of land for parks and nature reserves and water sheds.
And it wasn't a party issue.
Bush doesn't claim to be a radical environmentalist.
Bloomberg's hypocrisy is painfully obvious.
Even the liberal, Treason times is willing to expose this liberal for the FRAUD that he is.
HD, now I know sense doesn't mean much to you, but did you read DG's post? It pretty clearly expalins why he does what he does.
WW, you stupid HOE...
I read it, and it doesn't even make any sense!
Of course we care! That's what Craig calls a straw man.
We just aren't radical. and we don't preach how about environmentally sensitive we are 24/7.
haha yeah, WW you dirty tramp. Why don't you clean your self up before preaching about the enviroment. HAHA.
I'm clean, THANK you very much.
Doesn't make sense? HD, a three year old could understand that, you thick headed twit.
