I know,I know. She has denied this over and over. However, people like me just refuse to accept it. As a person who felt it should have been Clinton Obama in 2008, I have always felt Hilary was the better choice. Robert Reich wrote a column and I must say, I agree with him on all counts. So, let the speculation begin.

Posted: 12/29/11 at 6:24pmIt would be a sign of desperation, and I don't see it happening unless something dramatic happens, like the unemployment rate spiking up again. And if it does, I'd see Biden citing medical reasons to withdraw from public life, and not a job switch as suggested.

I don't share the view that it should have been Clinton-Obama in 2008 or that things would be all that much rosier now if it had been.
But I agree with Reich that Obama-Clinton 2012 will certainly make things more exciting, set her up for 2016 and I, like many, have foreseen this as a strong possiblity for a long time.
Whether or not it seems like desperation will depend on how it's handled. But I don't think it will matter in the end if it seems desperate or not because what it will do is inject the race with some much needed moxie. The important thing is that it doesn't seem like Obama is opportunistically putting Joe off to pasture. Of course, people will say that he is. But people say he was a fool and a misogynist if he doesn't. As with most things, no matter what Obama does, he is attacked for doing the wrong thing. If Biden can gracefully step aside, it could happen relatively painlessly.
However, it's not as if I think reelection is out of the question if Biden remains on the ticket. Far from it.
