Another Prayer Request

Hi everyone. I just need your help right now. My friend was in a car accident today. He was in the car with his sister sitting in the passenger seat when a drunk driver hit the passenger side. He has two brokan legs and internal bruising and bleeding. The doctor said that he isn't going to live past tonight at the longest. He said to just pray and wait. So, would you mind praying for him and his family please? thanks a lot. I truly appreciate it.

that's all the information that i recieved from his family, but i'm heading to the hospital now, so hopefully there's more information. i just don't want him to die so soon, and so young. but there really is no choice at the moment.

Ponine, my thoughts and prayers are certainly with you. your friend, and your friend's family. A little over a year ago I was in a similar accident. It wasn't a drunk driver but one who had bad brakes on his vehicle. He hit me head-on while I was on my way to work on May 11, 2004.

I spent a few months in a wheelchair but survived. L:et's hope your friend does, too.

thanks everyone. i went to the hospital for a while, but they wouldn't let anyone in to see him. the doctors just told us to go home and that there was nothing we could see there. so we waited for a bit longer, and then left. at that point he was still alive. it's been a few hours and we haven't been informed about his condition.

If he is really about to die any minute, the doctors should be allowing you in. Go back there and ask for a patient advocate/social worker.

thanks everyone. here's the deal though:

i received a call last night from his mother around 9 o'clock saying that he was off of the respirator, breathing on his own now, and was being taken into recovery for more observations. the doctor said that he was going to be allright. he'll be in the hospital for a while, but he is going to live. it's truly a miracle.
