As if South Carolina didn't already have enough to be embarassed about, Senator Jim Demint is trying to travel to Honduras to consult with the military government that is not recognized by the US. His trip was initially blocked by John Kerry in the Foreign Relations Committee, but minority leader Mitch McConnell is trying to get the trip approved through a different committee.
