My mood is doing little for my productivity. I put in a good few hours on a paper this morning, but now a break for lunch has become "sitting around for a really long time."

I've been in a weird mood lately. Little things are making me furious.

WEll here is my rather vague vent

Two night ago I got really reall bad news for me, which I dont want to go into becuase it is really personal, but it has upset me more than anything else. I pretty much have spent the past two nights at my computer in a really depressed mood. And only 2 other people know about it.

And I feel like because eof this, I will never find someone who will love me. I feel like I don't deserve it. And this is not something I would hide from someone I was dating because that would not be fair to them at all. And living without finding someone to love is my biggest fear.

And then this whole picking a college AGAIN thing is getting to me. I got my first acceptance and got a little scholarship which is good, but I am waiting for four more schools to get back to me all while my mother is consistantly bugging me about applying to a few more. I just don't know if I can find a place that will fit with me.

Thank God for my friends though. I just spent a couple hours with one of my best friends just being silly and having fun and did the same with another on Thursday. I don't know what I would do without them. And I have a couple amazing friends I know just through pixels, but they are beeing completely amazing...

My vent-
My sister was visiting last week, she ate all my cereal, and now I want a bowl and don't have any left. How she ate almost 3 boxes I have no idea. But it is raining and cold out, and I don't want to go to the store to get more.

I was pretty moody this morning I woke up to dogs scratching at my window because my mom left them outside. eveymorning i run on my tredmil for like an hour and i turn it on thismorning and it wont work it just shows a bunch of error signs. That made me pretty mad. the kitchen was a mess, had to clean that up, as was the living room and the bathroom. Which it funny because i cleaned them all yesterday til they sparkled!! My day was looking pretty lame until I got hungry. I made me some chocolate chip pancakes, they actually made me feel really nice! Now the kitchen is a mess again, and im not cleaning it!

My roommate was just reviewed for her leading role in our school's musical. It was glowing. And she won't shut up.

There. I said it. It's out there.

This is really petty compared to everyone else's vents, but I'm really frustrated and I need to let it out:

I'm on a crew for my school musical, which is Little Shop. I'm on the puppet crew, and even though I'm not the head of the crew, I'm the only one who knows how to use a sewing machine. We're making vines for the finale scene (to drop over the audience) and I've been sewing these vines all week.

So today my crew head tells me I need a break and assigns this other girl to sew. She doesn't know how to use a sewing machine, so even though I had already taught her how to use it, she didn't pay attention, so I had to teach her everything again for a second time. (threading the needle, threading the bobbin, putting thread on the bobbin, etc.). Well, this time was no different, so whenever the needle became unthreaded or whatever, I had to do it for her. Then, she didn't pay attention when I showed her how to put thread on the bobbin, so the thread (which we're trying to use sparingly, because we don't have a lot of it) gets all tangled up, so we can't use it anymore. AND to top it all of, she actually started breaking the machine. First the foot fell off and then the needle snapped in half. I spent eight hours today working for the show, and at least a quarter of the time I was there I spent fixing everything this girl screwed up.

I really hate people. I really hate stupid people and I know exactly how you feel TheaterAddict. I've been there. Just imagine the fabric you sew as her face. Then push the needle really hard. It works. :)

My vent:

I often feel as though I have a lot less freedom than most people my age. Although I don't live at home during the school year, I go to college close enough to home that my parents feel the right/need/whatever to know my whereabouts and what I'm doing at all times. If I go out and leave a vague away message on AIM that doesn't really say what I went out to do, my mother will read it and call my cell phone to find out what's going on. I don't think I've ever given my parents a reason not to trust me, and I have no desire to use my freedom to do any of the stereotypically bad things that 19-year-olds tend to do, yet they still treat me like a little kid who needs to stay inside where it's safe and not venture out into the big, bad world (what makes it worse is that they seem to be a lot more lenient with my younger brother simply because he's a boy). I fought with them literally all week over my plan to go to a baseball game last night because they didn't think it was safe for me to take the train back to my dorm at 10:30 at night. Don't get me wrong, I love my parents, but oh how I envy those friends of mine who don't have to answer to theirs 24/7.

"There was this one time an alarm went off - it was in the middle of '24.' That's just wrong. Everyone knows everyone was watching '24' at that time." --NYU student quoted in the Washington Square News about students ignoring the frequent fire alarms in dorms

No one in this world knows how to drive.

I am the only living, breathing, sane person that knows how to steer a wheel and push a pedal.

Apparently learning street signs isn't enough for someone to maintain and keep a license.

Just figured out that one of my final marks is only 27. Oops. Glad to know my parents tuition money went to good use. It was an online course and I had a lot of problems working up the nerve to post in the online seminars.

I have yelled at three more people today than deserved it, and now I feel like sh*t for it. I should just put myself into solitary confinement when I get like this.

BG, I know exactly how you feel. I had this conversation with someone the other day. I call my mom a lot, so when I don't call her, she panics and needs to know unimportant details. It just seems like I've been punished for being a good daughter and for calling her a lot. I also don't know how to fix this. I've been trying to gradually call her less, so we'll see how that goes.

I'm so sorry, Jessica. My mother has always been extremely overprotective as well. If she found out that I post on message boards, she'd flip out. Sometimes I wonder if nearly everyone's mother is like that and more freedom from anyone's mother is simply an illusion, but then I remind myself that I do indeed have various friends whose parents couldn't care less what their children do on Friday nights.

Well, in the days leading up to my period, I have been moody. Feeling angry at certain people for no apparent reason and getting into little arguements. I finally let out a 2 minute cry last night in front of my boyfriend, then I felt better.

Not to mention I have a crapload of work I need to get done...major archaeology test Tues. worth 30% of my final grade...plus I am so so so worried about passing a Communications class - we have to write a 5 to 7 page profile and I still don't have a subject yet, and it's going to be a bitch to write.

I'm just laying in bed feeling terrible for and about myself.

And it's not even the proper time in the month.
