I'd love to hear any other thoughts on iWork vs. Word for Mac. I'm gearing up to make the switch from PC to Mac in a few weeks, and this is the one thing I just have no clue about. I don't know exactly what you're implying by "it was a musical," but let's not forget it was also a movie seen by millions of people around the world. I'm sure WSS (the movie) was the only depiction of Puerto Ricans many people were exposed to.

I, too, saw it Off-Broadway and am wondering why people seem to think Usnavi's story should be at the center. This is the second time in a few days I've read this, too. I watched a video interview with Lin-Manuel Miranda the other day and he made it pretty clear that Usnavi's role as narrator/guide was because he works at the bodega, and all the other characters and their stories literally pass through him.

snl, do you not realize that without the score (especially in relation to Bobby's character), there would be close to zero character development? People complain about him being a cold character to begin with. Without Someone is Waiting, Marry Me a Little and Being Alive, not only would we not understand Bobby, but we wouldn't care about him either. For anyone who is hesitant about the ballet, I would recommend Double Feature at NYCB, which is running January 31st-February 6th. Choreographed by Susan Stroman, it's a full length narrative ballet.
