Once I get some voice lessons, I shall return to this thread and kick all sorts of ass.
Wow. . .I'm kind of embarrassed I posted that. It was late. We're going to pretend it never happened.

So at the beginning of this thread, last October, Izzybeth008 claimed to be a high school senior trying to decide on a college and now, nine months later, she claims to be 22, married, a dance instructor, a serious car wreck survivor and the mother of a premature baby who was born a week ago at 2 pounds but now is doing fine.

kjklo: You're preaching to the choir (or at least one choir member), here.
Dammit Erika! I thought you posted more music! . But, kjklo I'm no longer skeptical. I'm absolutely sure the story is false.

I'll see what else I can dredge up...
Erika, I'm joking, it's fine. I'll just visit your myspace. Don't go through any trouble.

The sound quality is atrocious, as it was recorded live during the show, using a little mp3 recorder. But you can get the idea.
I've never seen Anything Goes, it sounds like a really great show. Thanks! Even though I'm completely envying your ability to sound completely different, when you jump from genre to genre.

Thank you so much! That was my first time in the role, but I hope not my last. And yeah, I'm convinced that's one of the main reasons I've been lucky enough to work pretty steadily out here... You know: that since I can change my voice to suit the genre, I have more opportunities.

Your version of Blow Gabe was amazing, Erika! Post your Anything Goes!
By the way, if the actress who played Hope doesn't mind, could you post It's De-Lovely? That be's bein' my favorite song from that show.

Thanks so much, Cruel! I'll see what - if anything - I can salvage from AG and De-Lovely, but as I recall, they both have talking ALL OVER them. Blow Gabe worked out best, since the whole cast was on stage, and no backstage noise got recorded.
erika, I've been waiting for your "Anything Goes" rendition ever since you announced you got the part last fall.

Like I said, I'll try and figure something out. But those clips are on my other computer, so it won't be tonight. In the meantime, did ya check out Blow Gabe?
Yes, I did. Exceptional job as always, atrocious sound quality notwithstanding.

OK, I was wrong. I did get it done tonight. The clip is very odd, because it has all these long instrumental breaks (for the tapping), but since this was recorded off a monitor, there are no tap sounds or any applause or anything. So it may seem strange. And the sound quality is about the same as the other one. But here it is, anyway:

I hosted it at a different site, because that other one just wouldn't upload it properly. (It kept playing it back super fast, like I was one of the Chipmunks! LOL)
