I am just learning to knit and have made several scarfs and one blanket. Just wondering if there are any others.
I knit...ish
I do scarves and am starting on a blanket.
I can knit, no purl stitch yet. That is next!

I knit, but I'm no big expert. Scarvec, blankets, etc. I did make a really couple of pairs of really nice baby booties, though!
Yeah, no purling for me yet either.
erika, you are ahead of me with baby booties! I thinkk I'd like to try baby hats next.
I crochet. Only granny squares. But I have made two very pretty blankets. Actually, I am working on one for my honorary niece or nephew even though she/he has yet to be conceived.

Yeah, I knit, purl, yarn over, all that stuff. But I don't do it often enough to get really good at it...at least, in my own opinion. Like, I've never made a sweater, you know? But I can make very pretty scarves!

I crochet sometimes. For my senior project, I crocheted 15 blankets and donated them to the Ronald McDonald House.
My mom knits. She knitted a little hat for my cousin's baby who is going to be born any day.
She is now knitting herself a sweater.
My mother in law is an amazing knitter. It use to be every Christmas there have been sweaters for everyone. She has slowed down in the past few years but we all treasure the ones we have. Please remember RC is one of 7, and they are all maried w/ children.
So there were Christmas' with over 20 hand made sweaters!

Love to knit, learned as a small child. Can't crochet worth a bean. There are some exquisite yarns out there.
FYI: Vogue Knitting has a hardback coffee-table-type book that explains technique and stitches from basic to complex with very easy-to-follow pics and clear instruction.

This is a great store. The back is a warehouse where you can buy the yarn for tons less.
I've b een knitting most of my life. A few years ago I discovered the wonderful yarns on ebay and one winter I bought about $600 worth of gorgeous yarns that I didn't use!
hmmmm maybe it is time for a BWW yarn swap?
I can knit a scarf. I've ben trying my damndest to learn to purl, but I can't get the hang of it.
I got into knitting because I wanted to make a Gryffindor scarf. It's 5 feet long and I love it! Now I want to make a Weasley sweater. I want one so much...

Mom......I checked out that website.........it is incredible!
Mom, I'm a hopeless case when it comes to yarn. All I have to do is look at a yarn and I have to have it if it looks fabulous, whether I can use it or not. For anyone who knits, I recommend checking out ebay for yarn! I dare you to come away without bidding!
Rose I am so like you I have tried to learn but heck I am all thumbs. But I'll keep on trying!
Jane I am to scared to even peek on e-bay. Webs is my down fall!
I can't start very well, but once I figure out how to line up a few stitches, I can go for *ages*. I have a useless piece of knitting that's five stitches wide and eight feet long.

I started knitting about a year ago. I've made scarves, blankets, hats - simple things. But I like crochet better, I find it goes so much faster.
Mom, be scared. Be very scared. My favorites were the ones from Japan, that had weird hairs coming out of them and all kinds of stuff strung like beads throughout the yarn. My very favorite was a mint green cellophane-like yarn with red threads and glitter!
I'm actually on the board of the knitting club or "Knitting Circle" at my school. Our tagline, which we have printed on our shirts reads, "Knit Happens." I have such a difficult time with crochet.
