Here's what happened...I got into NYU, Wesleyan, Marymount, and the New School. All my top choices. Prior to recieving the letters, I had no clue what I'd do if I got into all of them...lucky me.

And now, here's the dillemma: They all gave me equal finiacial aid. To attend them all, I'd have to pay between 20 and 21 grand. I'm not rich. I'm not poor either, but at least 15 thousand of that would be coming out of loans...my parents don't want me to be $80,000 in debt when I graduate. So we're looking at other options now.

I got into AMDA, and that's probably where I'm going to go. I've heard the horror stories, I've heard the semi-good stories, but I think it wouldn't be terrible. College is what you make of it, yeah?? Well...it's $20,000 cheaper...so that would take away the need for loans with finiancial aid, so I wouldn't be in debt at all...

But basically, this thread is for any and everyone else who got into DREAM schools and just wants to vent about how much college is and how much they wish people gave away money like glasses of koolaid. =)

Sometimes debt is a fact of life. But look at fastweb and in your community for scholarships. You should go to your dream school, or you'll look back and wish you did.

I'm appealing with NYU as of now...and I've done all the scholarships and stuff...I've gotten about 15 grand in scholarships so far...but NYU would still be too much.

It's not me who has a problem with being in debt...I've told my mom, I WANT to be in debt lol...but in the end it's going to be her decision because she has to cosign...so, we shall see.
