Anyone ever been to Plataforma (Brazilian Steakhouse)?

My wife and I are going to 9 To 5 tonight, and I'm considering trying this place. We've only been to a Brazilian steakhouse once before, and we loved it. This place is pricey, so I was wondering if anyone has been there, and can share their thoughts. Thanks.

I've really enjoyed it both times I've been there. Left incredibly stuffed!

Huge amounts of MEAT, but good! Fun with a large group, if they're still carrying out the skewers and slicing at the table.
Carnivore heaven, if you're into that.

Go. REALLY. It's amazing. Think of a type of beef. Go ahead, do it.

THEY HAVE IT THERE. AND AS MUCH AS YOU WANT.

It's the perfect pre-theater, after-theater dinner. Great for Passover, too - no bread here!

The big problem with restaurants like these is that doing anything afterwards is not what you will want to do.

You will want to go home and lie down.

If you're doing the one on 49th between 8th and 9th, you will eat so much that you will want a nice nap not a big musical.

That said, it is fabulous.

The bad news is that my wife's bus was delayed over an hour, so I didn't think we had time to really enjoy the experience, so we nixed it. We will try to get there soon.

The good news is that we were able to get a table at Angus McIndoe's without a reservation, and we were seated a few feet from Brian Dennehy & friend.

I used to live right above them and still never went. Apparently, its fabulous. A friend of mine who went said that he wanted to stick his finger down his throat and purge so he could eat more. Viva Caligula!
