Anyone ever eaten a "grapple"
#0Anyone ever eaten a "grapple"
Posted: 12/6/05 at 5:47pmSo, at the grocery store last night, a Mother is pointing out "grapples"--apples that taste like grapes--to her little girl. They make a fuss over how much they loved them last year and buy some. Well, my curiousity is peaked and I go over and pick up a pack and they SMELL LIKE GRAPES. I buy some and get them home and they taste like grapes! It is too wild. Has anyone ever tasted these??

Posted: 12/6/05 at 7:43pmI think they do smell like grapes, but still pretty much taste like an apple.

Why would you want to eat an apple that tastes like a grape?
my thoughts also- it kind of defeats the purpose of eating an apple at all

Posted: 12/6/05 at 10:27pmI agree with ActOr721; they smell like grapes, but the taste is only slightly different from that of an apple. They're not bad, but nothing to go wild about.

Posted: 12/6/05 at 10:33pmVariety is the spice of life! It has the texture of an apples, and only tastes, slightly like a grape. It's something different, that why you would want to eat it. It is not a substitute for an apple or a grape, just an alternative taste.
