I just borrowed the dvd set from a friend and have been watching it over the past few days. I must say I am hooked. I am totally in shock over the graphic sex scenes (don't get me wrong, I LOVE it and would love to see them push the envelope even more). There were a few scenes where I am 99.9% convinced the couple were having REAL sex. I am in love with Ian Sommerhalder but this guy was having sex for real right in front of me.....I think. Anyway, just curious if there are any fans of the show here and if they ahve aired any of season 2 yet.

the writers strike slowed down season two. I only saw the final episode.

It wasn't particularly well received. I saw a few episodes, and found it boring, the characters were by and large a pack of idiots. The sex wasn't exciting enough and the drama wasn't interesting enough. I've got way too many good DVDs and good porn DVDs to bother with the trifling show.
I agree with LePetiteFromage, it was good enough, but I never was upset if I happend to miss an episode.
Its a show that builds. Each episode I thought got better and better. Plus I can relate to some of the characters. Its all so real.

I tried to wtch it, and actually saw a few episodes (would keep it on if I stumbled across it), but after the first few I never made it a "point" to watch it. I found the characters too self-absorbed, and honestly, a bit pathetic and needy. The acting in it is fantastic though. I'll give it that.
After seeing Jane Alexander give a bj, and that one woman NOT wash her hands after taking a pregnancy test...not any more.
I thought it was so boring. I watched the first 3 episodes and gave it up.

I thought it was horrible, pretentious and self-indulgent. The only reason worth tuning in was for Ally Walker and Tim McKay--the only two actors who managed to make me care about their characters at all. I wanted to kick the twentysomething girl down a flight of stairs. Ian Somerhalder IS hot, and Sonya Walger has the most gorgeous breasts ever, but it's not reason enough to tune in. I thought the show was a failure, which disappointed me. I've been a huge champion of HBO dramas, some of which I think were the best ever televised (The Sopranos, Six Feet Under and my current obsession Big Love)
And, really, who wants to see Jane Alexander simulate giving head?

oh, she wasnt simulating, br...what kind of actress would just simulate?!
That's why David Selby has that look on his face!

This ain't no Vincent Gallo movie, doodle!
P.S. I, too, wanted to scream every time that woman didn't wash her hands after peeing! That had to be a conscious choice, right?

It must be, but how did that conversation go?
"I am SO upset about not getting pregnant that I wont even use toilet paper or wash my hands!"
I stopped watching after I found out the jerk off at the end of the first episode was fake. I thought it was pretty lame to be trying to push the envelope and then go and do that. What's the point?
