Anyone? I'm drama club president this year, and I wanted to get a head start on what to do next year. Our school doesn't really get many guys. So if anyone has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.

The Women.
There was an all female version of THE ODD COUPLE.
and of course, STEEL MAGNOLIAS.

Yeah, I heard about that version of the Odd Couple, we were considering it, but they have done it like 5 years before.

If you have seven black girls -- For Colored Girls....
If you could find one guy (and a little boy) someplace -- Nine
I second the Women. You can make it a large or small cast, depending on how yuou divide the minor role.

The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie only has two men, and about 20 women/girls.
Is this a high school or a college?
Here are some things that my all-girl college has done in recent years:
Plays:
* CAGED
* THE SNAKE PIT
* THE PRIVATE SALON OF THE MARQUIS DE SADE
Have you considered an all female version of "12 Angry Men" (you could use the term jurors) for a drama, or how about an all female version of Godspell (I went to an all girl prep school, and we had alot of fun with this one). Hope this helps.

Nunsense! Hilarious show & tons of fun. You need dancers, though...
Moby Dick - The Musical (2 men)
Nunsense
Smile (2-3 men)
I belive the Cameron Mackintosh musical "Moby Dick" took place in a girls boarding school, and I think it was a female cast.

O MY GOD....Floweryfriend...I'm sorry I just started laughing hysterically. My School did 2 years ago...I was in it. The All Female cast of The Crucible...we made it all female..simply because no guys would try out. It was HORRIBLE, but so funny to think about. I was Reverend Hale....

DO THE CHILDREN'S HOUR BY LILLIAN HELLMAN
Nahhhhh, I am seconding STEEL MAGNOLIAS.
-d.b.j-
I second THE CHILDREN'S HOUR and THE WOMEN.
Oh, and one of my roomates went to an all-girls catholic high school and they did NEWSIES.
There is a great play called TALKIN' WITH. It is a series of monologues all about the various experiences of women. I can't recall the playwright(s).
THE WOMEN - yes, yes, yes.
For musical fare: NUNSENSE (or any of the million sequels), or THE TAFFETAS, or JERRY'S GIRLS, or BEEHIVE.

Me and my male friend were talking about it (one of the few males that actually do plays at my school) We were thinking about doing "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown" for the musical and...I don't know if this will piss anyone off, but turning Snoopy and Linus into female roles...because...well...we would have to. Then probably add a chorus, I don't know its up in the air right now.
