Bump
They have one in Florence, Italy right now. It is atrocious. A city with countless, priceless works of art, and they think they need poorly designed cow statues everywhere!
It made sense in Chicago where one cow was exonerated.
I hit my head really hard on the wings of the airplane one.. I have like a permanent bump on my head from it.
The one in Warsaw was really exciting. I loved seeing them. They really captured the spirit of Polish Artists, and the collective feeling of Poland as a nation.
I was sad when they were auctioned off...
In 2002 Washington, DC had a really successful version called "Party Animals". They were all donkeys and elephants and they were found ALL over town. This past year they tried it again with a slightly less successful version called Panda Parade. They were awfully cute too!
These were a few of my favorites from the earlier show. My absolute #1 favorite was the elephant made up to look like a wooley mammoth. They parked him in front of the National Geographic building and named him "Strom". (Think about it.)

We had something like that around here over the summer, except with lobsters. Very fun.
And they did a fund raiser to preserve the wild horses on the North Carolina outer banks. There were horses everywhere!
The fish in New Orleans were also very well done.

Here's a link to the lobster gallery. I love Lobster 54 and the Piping Hot Lobsters.
There are also links to pandas and trout!
