Anyone watch The Comeback?

Posted: 8/11/05 at 12:40pmYes, Valerie is a good person, but she is also annoying. Anyone else hate her "thank you" hands? It drives me nuts!

Posted: 8/11/05 at 12:47pmI don't find anything annoying about Valerie. Nothing at all.

So did anyone see it last night or could nobody cope after the devastating Six Feet Under? It was comedy genius again last night, with so many little moments to complement the very big moment with the awards dress.
A friend of mine has a theory about Paulie G, since he's STILL being an ass to Valerie. She thinks that he was an intern/runner on I'm It and Valerie was foul to him and he's holding the grudge. There's only 2 episodes left, so who knows?

Posted: 8/22/05 at 1:52pmI watched last night, but out of all the episodes, this one seemed to lack focus. Valerie having her heart set on wearing the Dynasty-esque gown to the People's Choice Awards was funny.

Posted: 8/30/05 at 4:03pmDid anyone watch the latest episode. All of a sudden the show is lacking continuity. Next Sunday is the last episode (of the season) and it will be interesting to see what happens.

Posted: 8/30/05 at 4:14pmI'm caught up on the show, and I just love it. I can't believe we only have one more episode. I have a feeling things are going to get GOOD when her reality show debuts.

Posted: 8/30/05 at 4:17pmI only ever saw it once; but I laughed out loud, which is something no current television show ever makes me do.

Posted: 8/30/05 at 4:22pmLisa Kudrow always makes me laugh. And then there are things she does that are truly heartbreaking (like when she spoke about having to wear a back brace in high school).

Posted: 8/30/05 at 4:25pmThat was a great moment--there is so much subtlety to the show. Just the short shot of Jane's reaction in the mirror spoke volumes without bad dialogue or beating us over the head with anything. The show never insults one's intelligence and lets you truly play observer to this story as it unfolds.

I came home at the very end of last night's episode when she SPOILER punched that writer in the stomach. I screamed...I have no idea what happened before that moment, but in and of itself it was hilarious and gratifying!
And her I WILL SURVIVE??? Genius. My boyfriend kept screaming, 'THEY HAVE TO GIVE HER THE EMMY!'
I couldn't agree more. One of the most masterful performances I've ever seen on television.
I have to say that women of a certain age are doing well for themselves on TV: The Desperate Housewives, Ms. Kudrow and also Elizabeth Perkins and ML Parker on WEEDS.

I miss it so much
. Lisa was robbed of an Emmy! Lisa was talking to Billy Bush though and were trying to bring it back in a new format however and that she would to her best to not let it die! Here's for hoping!

Posted: 8/30/06 at 9:34pmI really enjoyed this show. I didn't like the first episode but as the show progressed, it got better. It became one of my favorite shows so I knew it wouldn't last. Come back Valerie Cherish!

Posted: 8/30/06 at 9:40pmJust got into this show as it's been On Demand. They only have episodes 1-6 though and I need to see the rest. One of the most hilarious things I've ever seen and a truly incredible performance by Lisa. I agree she was robbed at the Emmys...
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
