I personally want to applaud this man for all he brings to this board. His intelligence and exceptional writing skills are beyond compare. He always seems to have a kind word to say and keeps us updated on current events affecting the gay community. I personally like to Thank him for being there to make me laugh and sometimes giving me issues to think about.

I'll second that! As a newcomer he's gone out of his to make me feel welcome. Which is more than I can say for some. I know I'm just a lowly 'standby' but one day I hope to be crowned a 'Living Legend'. Maybe then more of you will deem me worthy of engaging in a dialogue with. Well... a girl can dream, can't she?

heinous, partisan, vitriolic, poorly informed, ill conceived, illogic, misguided and blinded by anger.

are just a few terms i would not use to describe him or his posts.

suffice it to say that i go out of my way to read d's posts and quite enjoy conversing with him. the ability to disagree with someone while still having a deep respect and admiration for them is sometimes lost on these boards, but not by him. how can anyone not respect someone who has such a deep appreciation for language and humanity? besides, someone will need to argue for me before the world court if we lose this damn election and i trust d to lead them on verbal adventures while i dig my way out of my cell in the hague with a spork.

Papa - it's greatly appreciated - and reciprocated. I'll even come visit you in prison, but that's mainly to enjoy the pat-down beforehand. I'll bring Boobs along and we'll re-enact a little 'Midnight Express' visitation for you.

I'll give applause, even though I don't think that we EVER agree. DGrant is usually courteous in responses and always gives me something to think about.

An acquantance of mine is staring at some signigicant jail time for assaulting a police officer. A very long and sad story, but I am looking forward to the the monthly visits.
