Wow, they went from dying to dead in just a couple of badly composed posts.
You are a badly composed post, Phyllis Rogers Stoned

Oy.
I just wanted to say that I'm almost positive that the girl wearing the Kermit wrap, or whatever it is, is not Lady Gaga.

Thanks, darling.
And yeah, Shameless is right. The woman in that picutre is way too feminine looking to be Lady Gaga.
Good. I hate her.
And I hate people who compare the Muppets to the Jonass Brothers.

The Jonas Brothers don't sing. They make constipated grunts punctuated by the word "baby"

Reminds me of compost, Phyl
I believe Steve was chosen as the New Kermit after Jim died.I sort of remember the "Big Announcement". He might have puppeteered Kermit to Jim's recorded track when Jim was still with us. During the Jim Henson Hour it was customary for Jim and Frank Oz to record the tracks and then have someone else puppeteer in Toronto when they had to be elsewhere.

SNAFU-
I feel like Jim actually picked Steve to do it. But I wouldn't take that for gospel.
Well, Gaga DID wear a Kermit dress...
And Annas, 95% of the characters are their voices.
I do not agree. A big part of them are.
But if someone was doing Kermit's voice 100% correct. Just like Jim, and Kermit was portrayed as something 100% uncharater like, Is it still Kermit?
If the understudy goes on in SHREK, is it still SHREK?
If an understudy goes on a Shrek and gives a halfhearted bad performance where he performs the Character completly UnShrek like is it still Shrek?

If you replace Alice Ripley in N2N with a person that acts allot like her and plays that character like Alice Ripley playing Di, is it Alice?
Broadway Legend Joined: 8/12/09
No.... but Alice is REAL. Kermit & Shrek are FICTIONAL CHARACTERS.
Like Spongebob.
But Di is a character. If someone looks like Alice and sounds kinda like Alice and performs the role just like Alice, it is still not Alice
You didn't say Di, you said Alice.
I bet you think Mickey Mouse is real too...

Yes. Your point? Characters are however the actor/voice actor WANT them to be. Within reason of course.
Wait, wait, wait... I have a picture with me and Mickey from Disney World. He isn't real? DAMMIT! I hope Minnie knows.
Here is footage of proof!

Wow, Annas_Priest...you made the EXACT same argument on MuppetCentral...you were pretty refuted there, too.

I still don't get what his argument actually was. Someone enlighten me please.
