I think the animators of the comics were gay since they made alot of the costumes tight spandex, but that's my thought.

Batman and Robin before Batgirl came around were probably gay. The Batman and Robin that existed in the comics around the time of the TV show were probably gay. I don't really think the Batman of the 70s, 80s, 90s and now is gay.
