Arghh...I need your sage advice, bww.com

so anyway...I'm at home pretty damn sick...
bronchitis! hooray!! (cuz coughing up gook is ALWAYS a riot)
and i have to sing at choir tomorrow. The problem is that I keep having horrid coughing fits and my voice is pretty weak---I don't know what I should do..
I don't want to wreck my voice, but I feel like I have an obligation to my choir!!
ARghhhh! Help!
Was that a fat joke?

as it's contagious, I'd stay home.......would not help you or them to get sick, or in your case...sicker.
Make some soup....slip a musical in the DVD and REST!

that happened to me once after our last performance... I was horribly sick the very next day and had no voice. then I got a phone call that we were going to extend another weekend and I had to call back and tell em that I had no voice... we didn't extend as I did not have an understudy. re: Arghh...I need your sage advice, bww.com

Catie - stay home. Your obligation is to see that they put on their best performance. You won't help them if you have no voice and are coughing.

I second everything else that has been said. Drink lots of tea and get plenty of rest. Watch funny movies and whatever you do DON'T GO! You don't want to mess up your voice and I'm sure they'd be more than understanding.
