In Mauritania, where big is beautiful and stretch marks are sexy, young girls are brutally force-fed a diet of up to 16,000 calories a day  more than four times that of a male bodybuilder  to prepare them for marriage.

Reading that article made me want to throw up. Just thinking about eating that much food is disturbing to me.

That's disturbing.

If you had 80 glazed donuts from DD, that would be 16,000 calories. That's 80 donuts in 1 day!!!

Also, this adds up to about 16,000 calories:
4 bagels with cream cheese
8 scrambled eggs
8 cups raisin bran
4 McDonalds Cheesburger
4 McDonalds medium fries
20 slices of american cheese
8 oz pretzels
8 apples
4 bananas
40 saltines
12 carrots
16 slices white bread
4 cups skim milk
4 ears of corn
4 baked potatos
4 cans of tuna w/ light mayo
48 hershey kisses

Nice to know that the way that societies objectify and control women's bodies are so very varied. I have to say, I'd never heard of the foie gras goose approach before.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to curl into the fetal position for a few minutes.

I agree, 80 Dunkin Donuts sounds disgusting. 80 Krispy Kremes however...
