My friends Colin Mochrie & his Wife Deb McGrath have a special airing on CBC Mon Jan 10th @ 0930pm ( check times) IF there is a positive response the CBC will consider expanding it to a regular series & so many of my friends could get work! Its Called "Getting Along Famously" and is kinda like if Debbie Reynold & Eddie Fisher had a variety series on Canadian TV in 1964. The show is also about the mayhem that occurs backstage. It has some good original music by the team that did "The Drowsy Chaperone" ANY way PLEASE Email CBC after ward with your compliments & how much you wish they would continue with such wonderful & inovative CANADIAN shows! Thanks Guys!

I heard about this and I'm incredibly excited! I'll definitely help in any way I can!
Can't wait for tonight -- I'm booking Burwash's South House common room as we speak!
SOOOO what did u guys think? The CBC direct # is 1-888-303-5172 (Canada only) to leave a message otherwise just go directly to the CBC website and leave feed back on the show specific site. Be sure to ask for the show to go to series!!! THX!

My opinion:
It had the pacing of a typical CBC show (a little on the slow side but every moment counts, lots of wit), and there wasn't enough of the actually variety show- too much behind-the-scenes stuff for my liking (although I guess it's neccessary for the plot).
I think it would work better as a legitimate variety show, not a show about a variety show.
That being said, i still LOVED it. I noticed Donna Feore choreographed it and used a lot of her Stratford dancers, which is fantastic. I hope that even if this doesn't succeed, it has sparked something among the CBC folk that will bring more music theatre to the television set.
I hope it does well. Patrick McKenna deserves a mention for being absolutely INCREDIBLE as usual (Americans who watch Red Green- he is Harold). Hopefully it can compete against Mary Walsh's show and that other new pilot.
I'll definitely be dropping the CBC a line!
I kinda think Mary Walsh is overexposed now. Walter Ego looked funny tho so we shall see. Of course your points are valid, but it IS the pilot & I kinda think they would build /expand & tweak w some of the issues. Didja EVER think u'd see the day CBC would do a song w a story like "Tickled Pink"!
Huge Colin fan here, i will defintely try to e-mail CBC even thought i missed the show...
