Hello all! So this year my school is doing Guys and Dolls, and as a drama club officer, I need to help people come up with audition songs! What are some shows with similar style/characters? No Wicked or Disney please Auditions for Guys and Dolls? and thank you in advance!

Some songs from How to Succeed could work. Laurie's songs from Oklahoma could definitely fit Sarah.

It does differ for each role, but most other Golden Age musicals have a similar style and songs that will fit. Things like The Music Man, My Fair Lady, etc. are options. Songs from other shows by Frank Loesser and a lot of Rodgers and Hammerstein are also good choices. You have a lot to work with for this :)

The songs selection should be based on the character being played for. There are two female character that sings a lot are Miss Adelaide and Sara Brown. If singing for the character Adelaide, the best song would be from Wicked or even Notice Me Horton from Seussical. For the character, Sara Brown, try Till there was you from Music Man.
