I saw it tonight and really loved it. No Good Deed is absolutely the highlight and got deserved applause.

Some other thoughts:

I saw it Sunday. It wasn’t for me. It was quite sharply written but it just wasn’t that interesting IMO. My friend and I were both a bit confused by what the ending wanted us to take away from it.

After listening to both albums a few times over the past few days I made a playlist. It’s formatted around the Vanessa recording but basically putting Chita and Brent’s big songs into it. We will see if I like it.

Probably as I wasn’t just sitting and listening, I found Crivello’s Valentin hard to track. Stokes obviously stands out so wonderfully and his arc is a lot clearer.

Fascinating. I was listening to a podcast yesterday where they talked about what makes a successful cast album and choosing which dialogue makes it in/gets cut. I think when I know the score a bit better I’m gonna make a playlist where I combine the plot of Vanessa’s and Stokes’ big moments, Chita’s big songs and maybe some moments of the movie tbd there.
