Australian release of MAME

I heard last night that the original Australian release of the film Mame was a different cut that included alternate takes.

Anyone know anything about this?

I have. I've heard there are alternate takes used in that version. I'm not sure if any additional musical numbers are in it. There may be additional scenes as well.

Someone joked that what they should have actually done was dub Lucille.

I just went on iTunes and purchased three songs from the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack: "Mame", "Gooch's Song" and "Bosom Buddies" ~ those are my favorites from the film.

I can't see how alt takes would make that dog of a movie better, but I STILL want to see them.

Truth be known, Mame the movie was my introduciton to the character of Auntie Mame. I went backwards from there to

OBC cast recording to
the Russell Movie to
the novel

The novel is one of the funniest books I've ever read.. so

coming full circle I want to see the Austrian realease of Mame.
