Hi I am currently doing my dissertation on the authenticity of Jewish Theatre and was hoping you could take the time to give me some of your views on the following:

Can cross religious casting compromise the success of a show?

Does it matter what religion you are when you are playing a character on the stage?

More specifically should a non-Jew be able to play a Jewish person on the stage?

Any responses you could give me would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

if a 30 year old can play a 16 year old than a Christian or a Buddhist or a Catholic can play a Jewish person. Its the magic of theater. All you really need is a good wig.
