Well, my mother is still quite the dish at 73!
And, Rath you know I love you. The steamy hot cousin just raises the love factor a notch or two. Now, what day is it? I never seem to know what day it is.
Beav, you always know just what to say!
And SOMMS - understandable. He is exceptionally hot.
I think Phyllis GEORGE was pretty hot in her day...

Thanks for the reminder, M_E! Holding my head a little higher. You're a credit to your city!
**blushes**
aw, bluemoon, THANKS.
I do LOVE it here--the only thing I miss from my native Philadelphia are Philly Cheese Steaks!
Phyllis Lindstrom wasn't too bad on MTM either. Phyllis George is indeed a dish, even today. I just saw her two months ago.
You SAW Phyllis George, SOMMS?
Details, PLEASE, Details!

Had one for lunch yesterday at Mikes! (took daughter back to school in Philly after break). Good stuff, but I'd rather sink my teeth into a good, full steak.
She's on the Board of Directors of the Miss America Pageant. Let's just say that I'm involved.

I spent too much time in Dallas (the place, not the show). I can still remember my shock (being used to east coast and European cities), when I discovered that it closed at 5:00 PM!! As for the show, I stopped watching in season one, when Gary and Val left for Knots Landing, California. Never missed an episode of KNOTS LANDING, in 14 seasons! My favorite show, ever, on television.
Well, Blue Moon, Dallas is also CATTLE COUNTRY.
If you want to chop down on a fine cut, then I suggest you fly to Dallas immediately!
Many restaurant critics think THE best steakhouse in the world is Kirby's:

(One location is about two miles from my apartment.)
Feodor, the DOWNTOWN section of Dallas closes at 5 PM.
Unlike cities up North, the downtown areas of Southwestern Cities ARE NOT the focal point of the Community.
If you had visited Oak Lawn (the Gay Area) or any of the Suburbs (where I live) you would've have discovered a QUITE active night-life.

Fine, I will fly into Dallas-Ft Worth, have my steak at Kirby's, then, showing Texas charm and hospitality, you will put me up for the night! (I'll buy you a steak dinner)
Just keep referring to me by my FULL name - Phyllis George.

Ah, Kirby's! Now you're making me "homesick" for Dallas, and my counsin Marie and her Dallas native husband, Bobby (not Robert!) and their family in Carrollton. They'd go to Kirby's with me.
Fine by mine "Phyllis", but before you offer to buy me dinner at Kirby's, you may want to peruse the menu items (and prices!) on the website a bit more closely...I wouldn't want to take advantage of the situation!

I'm loaded with money - I'm Phyllis George, for God's sake! The residuals from my hour long tribute to Peanuts will cover dinner nicely. And then there's my pension from the state of Kentucky........
Here's an interview with Deborah Tranelli who played "Phyllis" the secretary on "Dallas":

Oh, I'm well aware of the active night-life in the Dallas area. It's incredible. I remember having a hell of a good time at a laundromat! I was just remembering my shock at the downtown closing, after all the cities I lived in, growing-up. No reason for it to stay open. I wasn't implying it wasn't a happenin' place, because it is.
OOOOH MARY ETHEL YOU MAKIN ME FUUUUMING!! how dare you try to copy the ever so successful(sp?) Houston thread with this blashpamy! Pshaaw! disgraceful!
oh and for the record: HOUSTON HAS WAAAAAAAAAAAY BETTER BBQ!
WELL, CQ--
1. My kindergarten teacher told me that "copying is the most sincere form of flattery."
2. Please name a major Broadway Musical that builds a song and HUGE production number about Houston.
FORT WORTH IS BETTER!
(cue jets and sharks music)
(also, there's a pic of me in the dallas arboreteum in the fan photos.)
