No interviews this week, just a brief mention of the format and everyones screenname. If anyone wants me to use their real name, pm me.
Stephen has a bit more "tech stuff" to work out, and then it will just be however long it takes it to show up on iTunes.
Tuesday morning is our guess.

Actually, it's looks like it may take a bit longer. After listening to the inital edit last night, we all think there are several edits that need to be made and I probably won't get to that until later tonight.
SO...Tuesday morning seems like it might be a bit optimistic since I have no idea how long it will take iTunes to propagate the podcast into their database.

I have it narrowed down to two:
You Were Meant For Me - Jewel
Broken Vow - Lara Fabian (also sung by Josh Groban)
I think it'll probably be You Were Meant For Me, because Broken Vow is sort of slow. But SO. GORGEOUS. I don't know.
This was just a think out loud post, and a bump, because it was on the second page.

How could this thread be on the second page? That's HORRIBLE! Yay for Allie for fixing this issue.
Still no track for "Shadowboxer." I'm going to use my lunch break tomorrow to re-record "Criminal." That's about all I have to say about that.

Broken Vow is one of my favorite songs.
I'm recording Still Hurting on Wednesday night after my rehearsal.

Mine too, WesternSky! That's the dilemma.

I don't know "Broken Vow"
but if Allie does "You were meant for me"
Westensky "Still Hurting"
and Kitz "Criminal"
and they are as good as they could be
I will just have to declare all three of you my personal "co-winners"

I am sure I do not speak for the other judges.
I would LOVE it though.

Yeah, that sounds like it could be a really great week!
Is the Shadowboxer track available anywhere for purchase? I'd be tempted to buy it for you because I think that's the perfect sound for this theme and your voice!

Posted: 2/13/06 at 3:41pmI don't know if it is. I think it's available as part of an entire karaoke CD. I already purchased "Criminal" for $.88 at WalMart.com. I don't know what was more painful--paying for a track or the fact that I bought it from Wal-Mart. :/

I have no idea how or where to look for Karaoke versions of songs.
Wal-Mart.com is not likely to be a place I will be looking.
Kitz, did you get the Karaoke of "Criminal" from Wal-Mart because I can't even find that?

I just typed in Fiona Apple + karaoke in a Google search.
Believe me, if I had Limewire or a similar service, I would be using that.

Well, I found this site:
http://www.singingstore.com/ssnrjun.htm
Of course it has to be ordered and shipped and it costs $20.00, but the bright side is that it's literally within walking distance of my apartment.
If I am feeling particularly insane/eventful this evening, I might go over there and get the CD.
It has the following:
PHM9805___MAY 1998 CD+G
ADIA___MCLACHLAN, SARAH
ANYTIME___MCKNIGHT, BRIAN
CLOSING TIME___SEMISONIC
EVERYBODY___BACKSTREET BOYS, THE
I'LL BE___MCCAIN, EDWIN
MY ALL___CAREY, MARIAH
SHADOWBOXER `98___APPLE, FIONA
THE WAY___FASTBALL
UNINVITED___MORRISETTE, ALANIS

Kitz--Go to this website. It is $.99 to download it, but it is GREAT quality. That is where I have been getting my karaoke songs the last couple of weeks. And by the way, they do have "Shadowboxer."

Tiff--I changed my mind about my song choice. I am doing "Always and Forever" by Luther Vandross.
Allie--If you want, I can record myself singing "Ain't No Sunshine" and then send it to you. I know I said that about the Rascal Flatts song, but I will really do it this time if you want.

Aww, spidey.
You don't have to do that! I'm looking forward to hearing whatever you do!

Posted: 2/13/06 at 7:40pmLet me tell you the reason why I chose to do something else. In "Ain't No Sunshine" there is pretty much 4 notes in majority of the song and I want something that can show my voice off more. I'm really sorry.

Wanna hear something pathetic? The track is $1.99 and I can't get it because I don't think I have that much in my checking account and I don't want to overdraw.
That's how you know you need to stop buying shoes. And that it's probably a good idea that the bulk of your cash is in savings.

Posted: 2/13/06 at 10:33pmI am trying. I recorded the first time earlier this afternoon and it was PERFECT but my voice was way too soft for the background music, so I had to delete it, fix the settings, and try again . . . but they are no where near as good as the first one. I am going to give up tonight and try again tomorrow.

That's how badly I want to hear your voice singing Shadowboxer.

Good man! I would've done that if I had any idea what you just said.
That is, if I had any idea how to do what you just said.
