I actually don't mind this week's selection. I wish some people had chosen harder songs, but there aren't any I'm dreading. Some people were quite ambitious!

I just hope people rise to the occasion next week.

Tough to say. I like to think that I grade strictly on the voice, but I'm sure subconsciously I (and probably the listeners) also tend to like the ones that imitate a real recording the most. But I think as long as it sounds professional (in audio quality, and obviously singing quality), acap. isn't a problem!

I'd actually prefer acapella of a good song to a cheesy track or less favorable song choice.

Although, I do think I am probably in the minority in terms of the voters.

I think if it is jerby people wouldn't care...hell I would listen to him sing the phonebook acapella (but that is just me...)

That's true. Cheesy tracks would kill the mofo. The Summertime track is pretty awful, but luckily Kerrie plays it very quietly.

I was told to change it, and since Patty is the MBCotD I thought I'd oblige.

And I'm tired because I'm ALWAYS tired. And because waking up at 6:30 will never agree wtih me, no matter how much sleep I get.
