We have a way out of tune piano....... I think it's in the key of Bb because it sits on a low f i think. but you're the one that has perfect pitch, mister.

What Rath said.
There is no F in the key of B.
There is an F in the key of Bb.
JUST LEARN IT AND SING THE F*CKING SONG.
Jaily, I think I heard her say she plays the triangle.. does that count?
Oh, so now she edits to make me look like an as$hole :-P
thats what i meant. Bb.... nevermind.... I'm outta here.
Go learn your song!
Ok, I have no clue what you guys are talking about when you get all technical, but Leann Rimes' version of "Crazy" was her breakout hit, when she was in her teens, maybe listening to that will help.
(was I too mean?)
I can't get my stuff to record right with a vocal track, so I'm singing a capella.
If anyone has a problem, suck on it. Because I have spent too much time and effort trying to figure this out already.
Especially when I should be out looking for jobs.
Shameless Leann's breakout song was Blue which is very Patsy styled. If I remember correctly it was originally written for Patsy but she passed away so the writer held onto it.
Oops, you know what, Cammy's right. I stand corrected.
oh, and just for the record, i updated my post and changed the key to Bb at 12:43 and Jaily didn't post till 12:44... So I didn't change it after reading his post to make him look like an asshole. Out for real.

The depth of her preciousness never ceases to astonish me. :)
Cam is correct.
And not to beat the classically trained horse to death, but country doesn't exactly come naturally to me either. Any slight inclination my voice may have had in that direction was all trained out of me.
I'm working my a** off to make this what it's supposed to be - sure, it would be easier to find a song that is "cheating," and that I wouldn't have to work so hard on, but for the 400th time, that isn't the point of this competition. Anyone can sing the same style and sound great with it for all 12- or whatever rounds we're doing here.
I just googled Crazy to see who has covered it, and it turns out that everyone and their mother has, except for Leann.
Good call, Cam.
Kitz, there might be a way to fix it. Pm me and we will talk..
Okay I'm back. And I love how I can barely phonate on these low notes....
Jaily- How sarcastic was this - "The depth of her preciousness never ceases to astonish me. :) "

I know "Bless the Broken Road" is fine and a few people want me to sing it, but I just don't know. It is a slow song with riffs all through it that is almost pop with a country drawl to it. Also, it is a slow song which I have done since the beginning of the competition. "Ain't Going Down" is faster and has more of a country feel. Ugh, I don't know. If anyone has any suggestions based on what you have already heard from me (And not Willie Nelson, Tiff . . . sorry) and know that there is a karaoke track out there that I can get then by all means, PM me.

Rath - look through some of kd lang's stuff, there's bound to be something in there you can sing - and if she sang country, then that elevates the genre, to my mind.
early kd (pre "Constant Craving") is country--and GREAT STUFF!!

Guess I should have clarified, cause that is exactly what I meant, Jerby. "Absolute Torch and Twang" and "Shadowland" are two of my favorite recordings ever!
I have both those albums and they are SUBLIME.
I wasn't looking for a song, I had mine all set.
Sadly, my mic and wavepad no longer play nicely with each other. Good luck to all of you and have fun. I am going to have to drop out.
I will kill you dead if you do. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No you're not, rath!
