re: Backstreet's Back

1) no.

2) the choreography is toned down- there's no floor humping.

3) why is it okay for shows to have choreography? you don't make fun of those people.

"*NSYNC and 98º were definitely much better than Backstreet Boys, vocally."

word. i was OB-FREAKIN-SESSED with nsync. backstreet boys were fun too though. i wanted to go and see them when they came here, a bunch of my friends were going just to go and relive the teenybopper thing, but i got sick and couldnt go.

re: Backstreet's Back

My heart is breaking.... I was living out of the country when they came to my area!!

I was such a fangirl back in the day-- it kind of subsided as I grew and moved on to Broadway, but I caught Behind the Music last night and I found myself grinning at the tv and being excited like I used to get.

I am still a big fan and I hope I get to see them again.
Thanks for posting those pictures!! I would still have to rank some of my BSB concerts at some of the most exciting times of my life (and no, I actually dont lead a sad life--they meant so much to me back then)

Not only do I love their voices, music, and personalities, it kind of felt good to regain a bit of that childhood/adolescent energy and innocence back--- a nice memory---and also to see how they have grown, as well.

re: Backstreet's Back

Yeah, the air-humping thing that ALL boybands did kinda freaked me out.

And I need to tell my friend Aleisha about this - she's gonna die.
There's always room for pathos - and jazz hands.

re: Backstreet's Back

yeah, so pretty much the backstreet boys are amazing and I love them...and now you all know :)

you're welcome on the pictures! I have a freckin ton from back in the day but it was pre-digital era and they're not on my computer...I used to be cool and sell them on ebay to pay for more concert tickets. LOVE IT!

I wish I had of thought of that back then...
I remember when I saw 2 concerts in the same week (one from the 3rd row)---I think I took 150 pictures. Those would have been good opportunities for digital technology...
The prices I paid to brokers for good seats now make me hang my head in shame, but I was younger and they were wonderful experiences!

re: Backstreet's Back

So the album is off to a great start. It looks like they will sell 300,000 the first week- less than half of what Radiohead sold last week, but mighty impressive for a band after a 5 year lay off.

And yes, the album really is quite good. I can hear 3 or 4 singles, if radio continues to support them.

They will almost certainly be the #1 debut this week....

re: Backstreet's Back

I feel terrible for having not bought it yet, but I need to be able to play it on my computer! This copy-proof thing sounds terrible!

Has *everyone* been unable to play it on the comp?
