As many of you know, I haven't had the most blockbuster year. And today it just got worse.
I was diagnosed with HIV.
I write this, not to get attention, but to ask if any positive people on this board wouldn't mind, please send me a PM. I really would love to talk to someone who has been through what I've been through. Also, I want to urge everyone, who assumed they weren't at risk, as I did, don't wait to get tested. I had ignored several symptoms for a while now. And while I'm more hopeful than I thought I would be, when I thought about the possibility of this ever happening, I regret the times I trused a partner's word or acted in the moment for pleasures sake.
I was everyone to live their lives to the fullest. ANd know that the choices we make have consequences, no matter ho much we convince ourselves, as I did, that we're invincible.
I really care about everyone, disagreements or not, on this board and wish everyone a long and happy life.
I can't even pretend to imagine what you're going through...but still much love for you. And all I can say is try your damnedest to stay optimistic about your life and live for each and everyday.

"[Gore] was widely perceived as arrogant. If you know something, you're not smart. You're a smarty-pants. It's annoying. People get annoyed with your knowledge. It goes back to high school, to not doing your homework ... 'There's something I should know, I don't know why I should know it but someone knows it and I don't. So I'm going to have to make fun of him now.'"

I know this is a difficult topic to respond to, and appreciate the thoughts on here and in everyone's PM's. I feel awkward posting this here, but I've come to know so many of you and this a lot of you are great resources for info too. Again, thank you for all the info and prayers. It has really helped me more than I can say.
