In one of his last interviews, Cy Coleman mentioned the possibility of a BARNUM revival starring Hugh Jackman.

Rebecca Luker is so boring as a performer though. Gifted but boring. Off the top of my head I don't know who, I would have loved to see Johanna Gleason play it, I think she might be a little too old now though.

Lillias White was a replacement Joyce Heth twenty years ago in the original production. Mary Testa (!!) was a standby.
