Hey everyone,
Just wanted to get word out on the new Batman movie comming out next month. I'm a big Batman fan and have been keeping up to date with this movie for over a year now, and I just wanted you all to know that this is going to be a GREAT movie! Forget about the silly Batman & Robin, and the campy Batman Forever, and even the over-stylized Batman Returns, 'Batman Begins' is a whole new take on the character, exploring Bruce Wayne's origins and how he came to be the Batman.
I can absolutley assure you, this is no typical superhero movie. It's dark, moody and creepy, just like Batman should be. Back to his roots. Christian Bale (American Physco, Equilibrium) plays Batman (very intense actor - best Bruce Wayne ever), alongside such actors as Gary Oldman, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Ken Wantanabe (Last Samurai), Cillian Murphy (28 Days) and Katie Holmes. The villian is the Scarecrow who, from viewing the trailer, looks as creepy as hell!
So when you start to see the Tv spots and the trailers, make sure you get hyped, because this is going to be the movie of the year!!
(well, tied with Star Wars maybe...)
Go and see it on June 17!!

Didn't Tim Burton's original "Batman" film starring Michael Keaton, Jack Nicholson and Kim Basinger already do this?

...so was Tim Burton's original film. Why are they doing this again?
And does this have anything to do with Broadway at all?
Marquise - Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) is bringing Wonder Woman to the big screen. No casting news yet, but check out this link for some info....

Gather round kiddies and learn a lesson about marketing in the mid-2000's! This person will never post again here. He or she has other boards that he has been assigned to log onto and talk up this movie. It's called shilling, and we can't get mad, everybody has to try to earn a living.

I actually can't wait to see this. I'm not hyped up, though. I love me some batman.

No, it didn't. It only hinted through flashbacks.
I'm really excited about this movie. Great cast. I loved "Batman" and "Batman Forever", but I hated "Batman & Robin".
"Batman Returns" was just odd, though I do believe Michelle Pfeiffer gave one of the most underrated performances of the 90s in that.

Thank you BT for that link. I've heard about Whedon's involvement in this for awhile. They need to speed things up a little because at this point it just seems like "a thought".

I can't wait for the spin-off: Vicki Vale: Revenge of the Syph.
"No, it didn't. It only hinted through flashbacks."
Yes..just enough to get the point across. We got it already. Do we need to be told again for the 7,000,000 time. Talk about overkill.
Don't get me wrong. I love Batman and Superman but do we really need all these versions. It's boooooooooooring. They need to tackle some new heroes.

It seems like they may have possibly made Batman a little too realistic with this one. I know he doesn't have any superpowers, but in the past there's been a certain mystery and excitement to the character and his involvement with the villains. It seems like they've turned the character into a ninja of some sort. We'll see.
I'd agree that they should try some fresh superhero movies, but not if they end up like Daredevil.

It's post like yours that keep me coming back.
I agree that this poster is a SHILL but I will still say I am excited for this movie. Many of the Batman movie fans DO NOT know how BATMAN really came to be (they know he lost his parents but not how he BECAME BATMAN). Only those of us comic-geeks know that he went around the world to train AS A NINJA. This movie will show many people how Bruce became Batman.
i think this will be the batman movie that gets the series back on track after the horrible batman and robin movie..it looks alot more mature than the other batman movies.

I saw the 10 minute preview during Smallville, and it left me speechless. It looks AMAZING! Christopher Nolan, Christian Bale, Liam Neeson et. al have gotten it right.
Thank God.
I'd take a grittier, more realistic looking Batman over Joel Schumacher's neon-drenched dreck any day. This is gonna be great!

OMG i am sooo excited for this movie...why are they remaking this...b/c Batman f*cking rocks!! and christian bale? Come on you know he's gonna kick major A$$! Did you see American Psycho?!?! and Chris Nolan directing...he directed Momento, he can do no wrong. Plus michael Caine and Katie Holmes...its gonna be awesome...believe it people cuz im counting down those days
the only way i'll get excited about this movie is if batman and robin have an on-screen kiss.
I like the idea of Chris Nolan directing Momento...is that like a snapshot of Latino life?
There are quite a few interesting films coming out this year (after Star Wars). Batman Begins definitely has my money. So does The Chronicles of Narnia.
omg bwaysinger i can't wait until Narnia thats gonna be AWESOME!!
Narnia looks weird. I'm looking forward to The Red Eye, though. Looks interesting.
The only searches of "Batman" and "ninja" that I got on google brought up stuff about the new movie. Batman may have had fight training in the original comics, but he was more of a detective. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that the batmobile didn't look like it did in the original comics the way it does in the new movie so it doesn't seem like they're following the origin to the letter.
Overall, I just hope that what they've done with Batman works on screen.

No ninja in his right mind would have a friggin' cape.
