When it comes to dark comedies, I firmly believe that this one is in a class all by itself. It's imaginative, hilarious, and twisted in a way that it has to be the work of Tim Burton.
An awesome cast (Michael Keaton and Sylvia Sidney are the standouts, imho), stunning production design, Oscar-winning makeup effects, and a now-classic score by Danny Elfman (which, also, was not nominated).

Betelgeuse: Ah. Well... I attended Juilliard... I'm a graduate of the Harvard business school. I travel quite extensively. I lived through the Black Plague and had a pretty good time during that. I've seen the EXORCIST ABOUT A HUNDRED AND SIXTY-SEVEN TIMES, AND IT KEEPS GETTING FUNNIER EVERY SINGLE TIME I SEE IT... NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT YOU'RE TALKING TO A DEAD GUY... NOW WHAT DO YOU THINK?!? You think I'm qualified?

Betelgeuse: Nice ****in' model! (honk honk) Note: I still can't believe that kept that in a PG-rated movie.
Delia: Open this door you dead people or we'll bust it down and drag you out by the ropes you hanged yourselves with!
Lydia: They didn't commit suicide!

I think his name, regardless of spelling, is pronounded "Beetle Juice", which is why he uses those two words when playing charades with Lydia. When Adam first reads his ad, he mispronounces it as "Beetle Guise".
