I'm so tired of proponents saying that since Sarah Pallin was a governor with a family, she could certainly be a VP with a family. The city in which I live has more people than the whole state in which she governs. How many times has she gone out of the country as governor? The VP job is far more expansive than being governor and it will certainly take her away from her family more often. I'm not a sexist and I do believe that women can work outside of the home. But this is like running a small business for 20 months and then being chosen to run the corporate headquarters of a huge Fortune 10 company. I know I am obsessing but there were just too many more qualified women. Just heard McCann praising her for the fact that she didn't go to an Ivy League school and that's one of the reasons she's just like all of us! Oh jeez- my head is just hurting! Just sayin' again!

I'd put my Gov. up for VP in a heartbeat if she were eligible (she was born in Canada). She's more than qualified - trade trips overseas, excellent administrative skills, good at conflict resolution - is a former Federal prosecutor and state Attorney General and not afraid to take on difficult issues. It's scary to think what Michigan's condition might be right now if we had a Governor of lesser ability. She's kept things afloat despite opposition control of the state legislature and a nose-diving economy, with no assistance whatsoever from the hostile administration in Washington D.C.

How DARE you ignore PTA experience, supmom?
I've always found the PTA moms at my kids' schools to be the most unorganized! Most of them had a hidden agenda to get their kids to have the best teachers and best opportunities at the school and felt like they were entitled to it!
I've been to some PTA meetings that would make the Knesset seem like high tea. And I was treasurer of the PTA, does that qualify me for SecTreas in McCain's cabinet?
