Now there are MP3 disk players forlike $60 which hold like 300 songs on one CD
Tiff, don't worry about it. I'm just a giant tech geek.
Aigoo - if I get one of these new-fangled contraptions, I need you to follow me around for a month so I don't burn my fingers or something, k?
LOL soon you'll just want your MP3 player surgically implanted into your ear...Its inevitable
I need a cigarette.
You know that scene in "Zoolander" when Derek and Hans act like apes and bang on the Mac? Inspired by me.
Tiff, do you have a MAC or Windows?
Are mp3 players passe now? They look a lot like iPods. Difference?
Blu, that's so true. I really can't go anywhere without my iRiver. I freak out when I'm low on batteries and I'm not at home to recharge it.
Ipods are just a type of MP3 player as are Irivers
That was actually one of the most common questions at Best Buy
Windows!
*beams because that's the only tech question she can answer*
Ah, okay! That makes sense!

I don't know if that link will work - out of those, which one would you recommend? The Minis look so pretty! And who am I kidding, that's a big selling point.
you'll never listen to radio again...unless you have satellite radio, but thats a whole other story
Blu, iRiver is actually a company, just to set things straight.
Soo...
iRiver is to Apple as err...H10 is to iPod.
Sure, the model names aren't nearly as exciting, but they're still cool, nonetheless.
Tiff, if you need help with anything, don't hesititate to ask. I need something to do in between my commercials.
LOL, you beat me
I bow at your knowledge
Tiff, it's really what YOU want and how much you're willing to spend. The Mini's are all the same, it's just the color. (Take a look at the iRiver H10 though! The design is great!)
If you have TONS of music, I would look into getting a 15 or 20 gig (the white ones, or the U2 one, if you can afford it).
If you have...around...400? Songs? I wanna say? Go for a Mini.
Thanks Aigoo. I'm still doing a bit of research here - gonna check out the Best Buy site too. (It's owned by the same folks as Future Shop, but Canadians have both stores up here.) The Mini seems cheaper and prettier...can I record things on the Mini?
I'm still waiting for my free one to come in the mail LOL.
You can get a separate accessory to record. Tiff, I was looking at the prices. If you want a 20 gig, don't pay more than $300. That's how much it was before this big trend set in. Try and get a good, reliable website.
I think I'll stick with the Mini then. I like more than 400 songs, but not enough that I mind rotating them once in a while.
How many gigs is 400 songs?
Aigoo, keep in mind that link is in Canadian dollars.
It depends on the quality of the song, the length of the song, and the song itself. There's really no way to tell. Average? About 1.5-2 gig, I'd say.
I think 400 songs i onlylike 512 mb
Hah, gotcha.
ETA: Blu, those are really short, bad quality songs then. ::cringes:: Sorry, I'm one of those people who won't accept anything under 192 kpbs.
The 4GB Ipod is one thousand songs...Theres also a 6 Gb too isn't there, would that be considered a mini?
