Posted: 10/20/08 at 4:38pmMy point is, Seth WON'T make fun of everyone (I.E. Obama) and that's what pisses me off. If he threw in even ONE Obama jab in there, I would have felt differently. Or hell, make fun of McCain, but make it FUNNY! Like the Bush bit with Jesus last week. I laughed at that. If I didn't have a sense of humor, I wouldn't have been watching FG for years.

And who says the show has to be non-partisan?
Go to American Dad for the conservative view...

Everything, I don't know that you can resonably expect 50-50 jabs in every episode.
It's not just the Republicans who are spoofed. They got a LOT of mileage out of Bill Clinton jokes.

Don't watch South Park or the Simpson's or SNL either. We had to sit through years of Clinton jokes and now that it turns to a Republican like everything else, the rules change.Get over it already! Pout all you want and boycott Family Guy. Your missing a hilarious show and Seth could care less!

Posted: 10/20/08 at 5:51pmThat's actually a takeoff on the Marx Brothers' Duck Soup, where Harpo and Groucho did that routine.

I knew it had to be from something before Big Business. But I do love it in that movie!
Good episode. Not my favorite, but very well-done.

Actually, the mirror routine goes back to early vaudeville, and possibly to rennaisance clowns, but the Marx Bros. were the first to put it on film.
Of course, Lucille Ball and Harpo Marx recreated it on I Love Lucy, and there was a mirror routine in CRAZY FOR YOU.
