There are so many negative posts about air travel that I thought it would be nice to have a postive one.
My most recent coming home from Santa Fe was probably the most smooth I've ever been on. Perhaps it was because I was in the back, I don't know. And the woman next to me was a rather interesting character who is planning on opening up a movie theater in Roswell. So that was a cool flight.

I enjoy almost any flight I can sleep through...
When a year or two ago I flew out to Chicago, I got the jump seat. Then I ended up getting the entire row to myself. It was so cozy and peaceful. And coming home, we flew through the most amazingly beautiful, breathtaking cloud formations.
Disney land. Im disabled, so I got to go on a free trip. Our plane was decorated with disney decals and wallpaper, and there was a giant tv in it, which we watched disney on. There was a dude with a guitar that sang us to sleep. And the food was awesome
My trip from Boston to Amsterdam. I love overnight international flights, plus it was with a school group, so we were all together. It was nice.
A couple months ago I flew from Buffalo to London and we got moved up to first class...yeah it was very very nice =)

Anything in first class, especially on international flights, is always a treat, but in domestic coach (which is what I usually fly for work - which is why I'm usually flying!), honestly, Delta Song was my favorite. I often had the whole row to myself, played the fun trivia challenge on the touch screen, had friendly flight attendants, healthy and tasty snack options, and lots of TV channels all to myself. I miss Song!
Hmm...when I used to buy the little hang gliders when I was a kid, seriously, some of those flights were really good. I could also make a mean paper airplane.
I've never flown before.
You're lucky Millie, I hate flying. I wish I could drive *everywhere*.
Years ago I was on a Continental flight from San Jose to Portland. This was back when the airlines cared, and it was great. great food, great service, etc.
Now I am just happy if I don't get yelled at for having a carry-on 1/5 of an inch not under the seat in front of me.
I do love to fly though, and while tomorrows flights will seem long.........I love it!
I flew 12 hours to Israel in First-Class. We were upstairs, in oversized seats that reclined all the way down into beds. We had our own security guard, and an amazing selection of foods; snacks, meals, drinks. It was so very comfortable. Those poor Coach folk downstairs!
When I flew to London this past year. It was so smooth and peacfull. I can hardly ever sleep on planes and I slept through almost the entire trip. Hopefully my flight later today will be just as good.
The best flight I've had was probably one year when I went to Florida. It was on Song and they had those little TVs on the back of the seats. I was fortunate enough to catch the Robin Williams HBO special. And it was the most entertaining flight I've been on. hahah
anytime i've flown domestically on jet blue. i love that airline.
i've never had a great international flight...they have usually ended up being a headache.
Kate, you must have had the same Italian family in front of you that we did.......the one where the wife would stand up, lean over my tray with food to talk to someone by the window.....
I finally told her loudly to GET OUT OF MY FOOD..........
Actually, the nicest flight I ever had was when I found out my dad was really sick. I was in Little Rock, and had to come home through Chicago. American saw I was Platinum, and they found a way to upgrade me, on an oversold flight. Apparently, someone heard me talking to my mother or sisters as I was in line and took pity on me. Then, once on the fligh they just kept on feeding me alcohol and making sure I was OK.
And, the woman next to me took my name and business card, and asked for a Resume.
It helped calm me down before I got to the hospital.
best flight?? definetly when i went to Florida this last time and i timed my music on my MP3 to to be "is ever gonna bring me...down!!!....." from defying gravity from wicked so when the plane lifted off the ground...it was sooo cool!! yeah call me a dork, but i found it amazing!!

I thought this said "Best FIGHT You've Ever Had"
It's not so much the smoothness of flying (I sort of like a little turbulance) but, some of the people I've been on the plane with have been QUITE interesting.
A lady who got drunk and was stuck in the bathroom. Someone who was contantly popping pills. 2 college guys on either side of me- interesting conversation that was. Women asked where her razor was and it was quite scary until we realized it was her razor phone she was talking about. Some girl talking about how marijuana should be legal and how I should try it.
Very interesting flights I've had...

When I was a kid we were flying nonstop from JFK to Honolulu. We were flyinh over Cleveland and one of our engines malfunctioned. The pilot ;anded us safely in Chicago. This was a United flight. An airline rep got on our plane and asked for 10 people who were willing to leave right now for LA and then change planes there and on to Honolulu. We were a family of four and a few others were given first class tickets all the way to Honolulu! We were wined and dined and given fuzzy slippers. My brother and I got toys and freshly made ice cream sundaes en route. We landed in LA and caught another FIRST CLASS flight. Again, we were wined and dined an given all the treats of first class. This was in 1968.

Well, bad circumstances, but best flight- we had to fly to Florida to my grandmother's funeral, and an old family friend of ours who happens to be completely loaded offered us his private jet. It was SO nice, the only flying experience I've ever enjoyed. Normally I'm terrified, but I was too distracted on this one to be scared!

I have to update my best flight. Last month we flew on Malev (Hungarian Airlines) from Krakow to Budapest. Besides being treated like kings in coach......we had a hot meal on a half hour flight.......it was amazing, apetizer, meal, dessert....simply amazing. This is the way it used to be!
Mine was like 5 years ago, but I was going to Colorado. They served us breakfast and there was a bug screen tv. Now you can't get dinners anymore pretty sad. And this past year when I went to Arizona it was a pretty nice flight smooth and everything.

Best flight(s): LA to Melbourne and Sydney to LA on Qantas. Food was great and the seats very comfortable for a 15 1/2 hr flight and 13 hr flight. Lots of movies and shows to watch. The big movie over there at the time was Finding Nemo. I went to the Sydney Aquarium, and they were featuring their own Nemos - clown fish. :) I flew to several cities there on Qantaslink, and had the same great service.
Also - Song Airlines to Tampa: our safety instructions were performed opera-style. Gotta love it.

Bump.
Christmas travelling season is upon us and I'm sure all of you will have flights that you just want to rub ice cubes over and make love to to because they're so smooth.
