Posted: 3/29/10 at 6:39pmI'm coming to the city alone next month and wanting some suggestions for best places to eat alone whether for lunch or dinner (or post theatre) in the theatre district. Any suggestions would be most welcome!

The Film Center Cafe, 635 9th Ave at 45th Street. Close to theaters, but not a tourist trap. Delicious food, comfortable ambiance for solo diners. I've seen theater people in there from time to time also.
I've been to Juniors once, thought it was way overpriced and practically defined tourist trip, but to each his/her own.
