I just saw her last week in front of her apartment building - she was using a walker but was happy, friendly and laughing with her doorman.

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

Norn, I've told this story here before, but my first exposure to the Great Lady was an appearance on the Dinah Shore show (the best thing about being home sick from school was always the Dinah Shore show!). From that appearance alone, I thought she was a comedienne! I had no idea who/what she really was, but I knew I loved her.

When I was in college she helped me tremendously with one of my design projects. I was designing a magazine for my publication design class and needed photos from various opera productions - I ran into her at a performance at City Opera, told her about the project. She seemed interested and she asked me for my phone number. The next day I got a phone call from the press agent for NYCO - Ms. Sills had called her, told her about me and arranged for a stack of photographs to be left for me at the State Theatre. I was dumbfounded by the kindness to a stranger.

I hope she's at peace, and knows the tremendous effect she had on the world around her. A magnificent artist, but more importantly, a magnificent human being.

We have been blessed, and can only hope that her legacy lives forever.
