I have "triple play" - $106/mo.

All of a sudden about 10 days ago, I started receiving about 20-25 premium Channels. Thinking it was some sort of FREE "preview", watched some excellent stuff - didn't think much about it. Did NOT order anything, Thought it would be only on for 2 wks, max.

Lo, and behold, I get the BILL, and there's 2 months xtra charges for a total of about 34.00, for these channels. Of course, I'm mad as hell, 'cause Verizon sucks in other ways, too. However, I calmed down, called their C/s, expressed surprise and outrage at these chgs., and their guy "claimed" it may have been accidental. Whatever, I got the charges credited (aND the channels removed).

Since Verizon workers have been striking (union stuff), East Coast, makes me wonder........

If the same overcharging is happening to you, pls call them and and COMPLAIN.

I'll look out for it, thanks, but all in all, I love my FiOS.

I miss NY1, however...

I guess I've just had BAD luck. Tel. intercom to the lobby security desk never worked for 1.5 yrs, numerous problems with the remote, numerous cable outages, repairmen that didn't show or did a ****ty job wiring the apt (had to be re-done 3 times)...other than that, they DID provide $500.00 in gift cards, and free Blimpies when they did their marketing blitz 2 yrs ago in our complex.

"they DID provide $500.00 in gift cards, and free Blimpies"

Too cheap to afford Subway?

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Goth - I am NOT making that up. It was SUCH a HARD SELL in our lg, 2 bldg complex, they would do ****ing ANYTHING to sell this service. They wired the bldgs about 4 yrs. ago, then they had to GET customers to switch from RCN or Time Warner. Anyone, however that would buy a cable svce based on crap fast food is, well, perhaps hungry! lol, I did buy myself a new flat screen TV w/the "gift cards". I don't like contracts, however, and this was a 2 yr. contract. I do remember that they HAD to have your SSN in order to sign you up. A lot of people questioned that. They were informed that this was a "security/FBI/Credit necessity". I doubt it - since when does a cable co NEED your SSN?

They need it to do a background/credit check on you.

I would not be surprised if a credit check was not run before any equipmment was leased out to you.

Anyone in NYC remember when Liberty Cable was trying to get business? They would print on the front page of the New York Times things like "777 East 77th Street has been liberated".
