This is exactly the kind of message that scares the bejeezus out of me. I don't believe the government should be in the business of personal wealth redistribution.

This is why I will never vote Democrat. They want to take your entire paycheck and spend it they way they want. They want to be so much like Europe and take 60% or more of your pay. They are on a sick power trip and would love it if the government controlled you from cradle to grave.

I thought if Obama took office my taxes wouldn't go higher because of my tax bracket. I would assume it's the same for people in tiny, cramped NYC apartments, too.

Seriously? I mean do you really believe that? 60% of your paycheck. You HONESTLY believe that?? It baffles me.

I have a friend who said he is not voting for Obama because he and his spouse make over $200,000 a year and Obama would raise their taxes to 80%.

I asked him if he really believed if he voted Obama he would only bring home $40,000 and year and he paused and said YES.

How uniformed can people be???? It's amazing that people buy the crap the Republican party spits out.

Don't be fooled by Obama's rhetoric. He plans to soak it to the rich. But the rich have many ways of getting tax loopholes. And they can afford high priced accountants to find ways to protect their money. Under Obama's tax plan, it's the middle class that will suffer.

35%. That's only on earnings ABOVE $357,700.

But back to the Marxist concept here that Biden's talking about:

It's never worked in a society of any scale. On paper, it's a beautiful concept. In practice, it's failed every time.

When is enough? The top 50% wage earners already pay over 90% of total taxes collected. When do you stop taxing them, and start taxing everyone else? Or do you continuing raising rates on the rich, and then tax the rest anyhow?

Spending is out of control. I blame both parties, since Congress holds the purse strings. Of the candidates, I find Obama's platform for economic reform (yes I read it) change I can't believe in.

PS: Namo, I'm appalled by the gov't bailouts, altho anyone who's marginally followed the markets could have predicted the failures.
