What sets it apart from other shows is that the characters have a certain charm about them.
Charm is something that's been completely absent from sit-coms for years.

I agree about the 'charm' - at least in my perspective, which is that you can honestly think these are 'good' people. So much of what exists today is populated by disenfranchised, bitter, cynical mopes that I find it difficult to care one way or another what's happening to them.
This is my favorite show next to 30 Rock. I adore all of the characters. I am so happy Jim Parsons got an Emmy nom this year. Hopefully he wins next year!
Jim got "Sexiest Geek" in the new issue of People's Sexiest Men Alive.
LOL - I would be thrilled if my daughter brought Sheldon home for Thanksgiving dinner!
It would be a scene somewhere in the middle of "Guess Who's Coming For Dinner", "Meet The Parents" and "The Graduate"!

I can't see her with Sheldon, but it would be HI-larious!!!
I also love this show!!! I wish they hadn't moved the time slot, though. I'm happy that their ratings have improved because of it (even though I HATE Two and a Half Men) but I'm always either working or out of the house by the time 8:30 (central) rolls around on a Monday night so I've had to watch all of this season online. Ah, well. I'm glad it's gaining and retaining viewers! :)
This show is great!!! Although I feel like this season doesn't compare to how funny the first 2 seasons were.
Definitely one of my favorite shows right now!
The first episode I ever saw was the Christmas one where Penny got Sheldon the napkin autographed by Leonard Nimoy. I was hooked!

Please, please, PLEASE let Laurie Metcalf and Christine Baranski appear on the same episode as Sheldon's and Leonard's mothers.
Nice that Parsons won the Emmy. He deserved it.
