I know some of you here are huge BB fans. Tonight was the season finale of the Canadian version.
It was shocking as one of the house guests, a secure jury vote for a gay player in the final two, screwed up and voted for who she wanted to evict.
She cried and begged, and her mistake cost Gary Levy the win.
I can only imagine this happening in the US version!

Maybe she would have been better being merely 100% secure...
I actually didn't think anyone was even watching this, but according to my facebook after last night, most of my Canadian friends were...
Wow. Has she never seen the show before? Why did she vote for who she wanted to evict instead of who she wanted to win? What an air head.
Now, now, she's Canadian. No doubt she's very pleasant, but if she were a rocket scientist, she would have moved to the U.S. by now.
They should have had some sort of fail-safe system for Canadian BB.
(Actually I'm surprised this hasn't happened on U.S. BB or Survivor, where rocket scientists are few.)
I just think the winner should not feel so proud if she won by mistake.
She's been going on endless interviews about how deserving she thinks she was. I guess I'm expecting too much from BB contestants.
Well, blaxx, the premise for Big Brother in every country begins as follows: start with 18 or so people who have so little going on in their lives they can sit around a house doing nothing for 3 months--and who want to do so!
Shows been running since 1999 but Canada could only be bothered to try the format in 2012. Snore. (Not that it matters- really important TV is on now- The NHL Playoffs!! GOLEAFSGO!!!)
Sabrelady, our team is out but my husband and son are in an on-line pool so I am still stuck watching hockey. LOL
The only surprise is that this never happened in the US. The show casts people either for looks or for conflict. Intelligence has never been an expectation. Casting someone like Willie Hantz results in the behavior of someone like Willie Hantz.
Personally, I think reversing the voting process just for the finale was probably an invitation for this sort of mishap. It certainly gets attention.
GGRRRR! 5 to 2. Sumbody get me a enema bag cos dem Leaves is full of SH eee TT!
^^^True, but it's the way SURVIVOR does it!
And I firmly believe they secretly hope for the same mistake every single season. I think it's just more likely to happen to a Big Brother contestant.
^^^^Some fans still insist that the deaf girl in SURVIVOR Amazon (Christy, IIRC) voted for her nemesis because she didn't understand the instructions. Personally, I don't believe it, but the claim still has its adherents.

Some people are sympathetic to Amanda Bynes.
Some people think O.J. is innocent.
Maybe we should have a "some people" thread!
