Hello! I'm directing BIG FISH at a local HS - LOVE the show, have always loved the show ... but I'm wondering - does anyone think any character could be changed from M to F? As with most high schools we will have way more girls than boys. Thoughts?

take into account that you can have girls playing boy parts, you don't have to change the character to a girl. I'm recently realizing that this is a crazy, unheard of thing but in my community theatre we have the same problem, more girls than guys. so girls play guys all the time.

However, you don't have permission to make those kind of changes (most likely). You are not allowed to just change things, you need to get WRITTEN permission from the rights holders - which they very well may do.
