Well there is debate about that. Some say Jesus said that specifically to His disciples, because He knew they specifically didn't need to know because there would be 2,000 years of the Church Age. Jesus did say that people should be aware of the times they are living in.

I guess I don't understand what you mean. Homosexuality is mentioned in the Old Testament.

There is scripture in the Bible referring to the person that will attempt to assume world power (what we are referring to as the Anti-Christ) that mentions that he is not interested in women.

Also, for the mentions of homosexuality in the New Testament.

You know of course, that Jesus NEVER mentioned homosexuality.

Please cite chapter and verse for the dubious vague references you keep making.

Just playing Devil's Advocate here....

The verse in question is Daniel 11:37

"Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all."

Pretty much just sounds that the Anti-Christ feels that he is beyond dealing with anything beyond his own power. Huge ego.

Another common thought is that the Anti-Christ is supposed to present himself (or herself...let's not be sexist here - maybe that's the "no regard for the desire of women.") as a counterfeit Jesus Christ in order the fool the unwitting.

Following that logic, it would seem pretty unlikely that the Anti-Christ would be Gay... Updated On: 2/18/05 at 12:30 PM

Just goes to prove that the Bible can be interperted in a myriad of ways. And often is as a means of justifying and rationalizing some narrow-minded, bigoted concept.

People need to remember that 'homosexuality' and 'gay' are concepts that came about in the late 19th century. Before then, homosexuality and gay as we know them to be today (self-identifiers) didn't exist. Behavior existed. Emotions did as well. Even the ancient Greeks idea of man-for-man expression of love was pederasty, which automatically subjugated one man to another.

This is why the whole 'Lincoln was gay' debate is fascinating. Well...no he wasn't. Perhaps he had true, loving feelings for another man and expressed those feelings sexually. But 'gay' or 'homosexual', as it has come to be defined, he certainly wasn't. Remember, it was considered a man's duty to marry and procreate. Unfortunately, that sense of duty is still around today.
